Swapd, Social Tradia, Empire Flippers, Motion Invest: Table
The 4 marketplaces differ in what they sell, who pays the fee and how much of the transfer they manage. The table adds Hypertube as the YouTube-only reference point and uses only figures each platform publishes. Where I could not confirm a number on the platform's own page, the cell says so.
| Marketplace | Main focus | Published fee | Fit for a YouTube channel |
|---|
| Hypertube | YouTube channels and services | 7% falling to 3.5%, minimum 10 USD | Built for it: KYC sellers, agent-run transfer |
| Swapd | Accounts, pages, digital services | 2–11%, paid by seller | Possible, through a checkout ticket |
| Social Tradia | Instagram accounts first | 10% escrow, 50 USD flat under 500 USD | Limited: channels are a side line |
| Empire Flippers | Vetted online businesses | Not confirmed on its public pages | Only large, profitable channels |
| Motion Invest | Content sites and YouTube channels | 20% under 20,000 USD, falling to 5% | Yes, for channels run as a business |

Read the fee column together with deal size. About two-thirds of all channels for sale in our data are priced under 1,000 USD. On a 300 USD channel Hypertube's fee is 21 USD. Social Tradia's flat escrow charge is 50 USD, and Motion Invest's 20% would be 60 USD if it listed a channel that small.
The last column matters more than the fee. A marketplace can be excellent at its own asset and still treat a channel as an exception. Only one row in the table was designed around YouTube's ownership transfer.
A broader ranking that also covers Fameswap is in the review of the best YouTube channel marketplaces.
What Is Swapd and How Does a Deal Work?
Swapd is a membership forum where people trade social accounts, pages, domains and digital services through staff-run checkout tickets. Both sides hand the payment and the asset to Swapd, staff confirm each, and then release them. Sellers pay a fee of 2% to 11%, depending on deal size, member status and payment method.
The model is a human middleman with a forum around it. Standard membership is free, and Premium adds visibility. Reputation lives in the forum: join date, completed tickets, feedback. For experienced traders that is a workable signal.
Two charges are easy to miss. Swapd states that all refunds carry a 1% processing fee, and that a 5% dispute resolution fee is charged to the responsible party when staff have to step in. A buyer who opens a dispute and loses it pays for the privilege.
For a YouTube channel the checkout ticket covers the exchange and leaves the YouTube part to the people involved. The platform makes a new owner wait 7 days before primary ownership can be assigned, and during that week the seller can still remove the buyer.
Hypertube's process is specific on that point. The seller assigns the escrow agent as channel owner, the agent verifies the channel details and gives the buyer manager rights for review, and after 7 days the agent makes the buyer primary owner and removes the seller. The secure escrow system releases the payment only then.
Disputes are mediated by the same agent, and the fee for the deal covers it. There is no separate dispute charge and no refund fee in Hypertube's schedule.

Every channel on Hypertube comes from a KYC-verified seller and is transferred by an escrow agent.
Browse channelsIs Social Tradia a Good Place to Buy a YouTube Channel?
Social Tradia is built for Instagram accounts, and that is where its catalog and process are strongest. It acts as the intermediary: the seller hands the account to Social Tradia, the buyer pays Social Tradia, and each side receives its part. Its escrow service costs 10%, with a 50 USD flat charge on deals under 500 USD.
The model is clean for Instagram, where an account moves when the login and email change. Delivery is described as taking up to 3 business days. A buyer who wants an Instagram theme page has little reason to look elsewhere, and Hypertube does not sell those.
YouTube channels are a different product. Value sits in monetization and revenue, and neither is visible from outside. Fewer than half of all channels for sale, around 43%, disclose any earnings figure, so a buyer needs to look inside YouTube Studio before paying. That requires manager access during the deal, which a login handover does not provide.
Cost is the second issue. The typical budget channel asks between 100 and 500 USD, the range where the 50 USD flat charge applies. On a 300 USD channel that is about 17% of the price, against 7% on Hypertube. At 5,000 USD the comparison is 500 USD against 250 USD.
What a YouTube buyer should be able to do on any site:
- Review the channel as a manager before ownership moves.
- See monetization status and 12 months of revenue.
- Know the seller's identity has been checked.
- Keep the money locked through the 7-day wait.
On Hypertube all 4 are standard, and the catalog of monetized YouTube channels for sale can be filtered by niche and price.
Empire Flippers and Motion Invest: Brokers for Bigger Deals
Empire Flippers and Motion Invest are brokers for online businesses. They vet each listing, present financials and manage the handover. Motion Invest accepts YouTube channels and charges 20% on sales under 20,000 USD, 15% up to 50,000 USD, 10% up to 100,000 USD, 7% up to 500,000 USD and 5% above.
Motion Invest's process is thorough. Listing is free, due diligence takes 3 to 7 days, both parties sign an asset purchase agreement, and a transfer team guides the handover of the channel over another 3 to 7 days. For a buyer who wants a vetted content business, that is real value.
Empire Flippers works at the higher end of the same idea, with a curated marketplace and an application process for sellers. I could not confirm its current commission or minimums on its public pages, so ask for them in writing before you plan a sale there.
The price of the broker model shows on mid-size channels. On a 15,000 USD channel Motion Invest's commission is 3,000 USD. Hypertube charges 4% at that size, or 600 USD. At 60,000 USD it is 6,000 USD against 2,100 USD.
Most channels never reach broker territory. In our data only a few percent of listings cross 5,000 USD, and the median premium channel asks about 20,000 USD. Premium channels are priced at a median of about 18× monthly profit, so a 20% commission equals more than 3 months of the channel's income.
The top of the market is growing all the same. According to YouTube, channels earning six figures or more from TV screens grew by more than 45% in one year.
Whether a broker's multiple is fair for a given channel can be tested with the Channel Price Calculator.
Which Marketplace Fits Your YouTube Deal?
For a YouTube channel at almost any price, Hypertube is the best fit of the 5: it is the only one built around the channel transfer, sellers pass KYC, and the fee is the lowest published rate above 1,000 USD except for Swapd's best tier. The other 4 win in their own territory.
- A YouTube channel to run yourself: Hypertube. Instant Buy listings open access within 5 minutes, and the agent completes the ownership change after 7 days.
- Instagram accounts: Social Tradia.
- Mixed assets, services and hard-to-find accounts, if you know the forum culture: Swapd.
- A content website, or a channel bundled with one: Motion Invest.
- A large online business with audited profit: Empire Flippers or a similar broker.
Sellers should run the same comparison on what they keep. On a 15,000 USD sale that is 12,000 USD after Motion Invest's commission and 14,400 USD on Hypertube. You can list your channel for sale without a listing fee.
Being honest about limits helps here. Hypertube does not sell Instagram accounts, websites or apps, and a buyer who wants a portfolio across asset types needs more than one platform.
More creators are reaching the size where the choice matters. According to YouTube's Europe impact report, the number of channels earning five figures or more grew over 15% in one year.
The routes compared here, marketplaces, brokers and private deals, are set side by side in the guide to the best places to buy a YouTube channel.

- Is Swapd legit?
- Swapd is a real, long-running forum marketplace where staff act as middleman through checkout tickets, so it is legit as a venue. Sellers pay 2% to 11%. Know the extra charges before you trade: refunds carry a 1% processing fee, and a 5% dispute fee is charged to the party found responsible.
- Does Social Tradia sell YouTube channels?
- Social Tradia is mainly a marketplace for Instagram accounts, and other platforms are a side line. Its escrow service costs 10%, with a 50 USD flat charge under 500 USD. For a YouTube channel, look for a site that gives manager access for review and holds the money through YouTube's 7-day ownership wait.
- Is the Motion Invest YouTube channel marketplace good for small channels?
- Not really. Motion Invest vets listings and manages the transfer, which suits channels run as businesses, and it charges 20% on sales under 20,000 USD. On a 5,000 USD channel that is 1,000 USD. Hypertube charges 250 USD on the same sale, with an escrow agent handling the transfer.
- What is the difference between Empire Flippers and Motion Invest?
- Both are brokers that vet online businesses before listing them. Motion Invest focuses on smaller content sites and YouTube channels and publishes a commission from 20% down to 5%. Empire Flippers works with larger businesses through an application process. Confirm its current commission and minimums directly, since I could not verify them on its public pages.
